I go walking around different parks in the area every week. I take a pair of gloves and a few plastic grocery bags with me and pick up trash as I walk. It usually takes about 3-4 bags. When I get home I put on gloves and go through the bags to get out stuff I can recycle. I put this stuff in with my other recyclables from in my home. We only have to put our trash out once every two weeks just from recycling. Once a week I take the recyclable items to the huge bins by West Lake Park.
